For the Baltics, World War II didn't end until the restoration of independence in 1991. For Europe, the collapse of the USSR won't end until Russia is defeated in Ukraine. We are still living in the long 20th century. This will be a commonplace position for historians to have.

Corss border strikes do not have to be a strategic "game changer" to have an effect. They complicate 🇷🇺 air operations, and that's already a relief. How many 1000 lives could have been saved if this was decided earlier? At the end, a lot of small, but useful steps will decide the war.
