Observations of RVA after living here 4 months: people drive really slow but somehow also still tailgate you up the ass. People also tightly box you in when parking, front and back—even with ample space on the street. So many damned sandwich shops, too many. I’ll report back as more time passes.

I dreamt I had to perform impromptu at a club on synthesizer, which I don’t know how to play. The crowd stuck with me for a few scrambled attempts at songs before some walked away, but no one heckled me. I kept my flopsweat to a minimum and charged thru it. Not bad for an anxiety dream, over all.

Samples from 2 sketchbooks I started simultaneously. A pocket sized 4”x6” and a roomy 7”x7”. You can beat going small with these, easy to log in daily and not heavily dependent on your time. I fall in love with drawing again whenever I put effort into these. Get them pens out and put the work in.

Finished painting a 1/1 series blank Mars Attacks deck I’ve been sitting on for 7-8 years. We were given two—the first was inserted into blind bags and sold to lucky winners in skate shops—a lot of whom immediately flipped them on eBay of course—fun project though. Last pic is the 1st one I did
