I was about to move my presskit from impress to GamePressKit since it's a one time purchase per game, which is closer to my budget. But it feels a bit ai-template'y and not seeing who's behind it kinda deters me. I feel like this situation is where all the mass vibed business economy will lead us to

Was I just served a cup noodle ad by Gladius in FFXV?????

Ah damn, I thought FF7 Rebirth was also available on PS Plus, but nope. Just the demo :///////// Shame

Ngl FF7R Intermission felt much better in terms of combat when compared to the main game. Like default ability to use ranged attacks, melee attacks that compliment and create space to decide for long/short range combat. Same with abilities that can be built up during a fight. And also navigating!

Rolled credits or ff7 remake base game without having played the original. Everything was kinda fine, but boss fights would switch between being really fun to just frustrating and unfun. Mostly when it involved flying enemies or attacks that were too quick to be dodged or blocked

Honestly it's almost to work on something other than the tomb chapter, since most of the stuff I worked on was made in chapter 1 environment

Rolled credits on Tunic yesterday. I understand why people give it praise they do. Honestly felt refreshing to just discover things, though remembering every bit I felt like I lacked a skill was a bit much. Also it's a very stark contrast to FF7 remake that I'm starting right now

It took me quite a bit to set it up, but now I have moved Iter's item data and plans into a ods file to be used in libreoffice calc rather than in Google Sheets. It feels like offline things are quicker to launch rather than having to go through a browser all the time #IndieGameDev #GameDevelopment

Darn, Tunic got me out there drawing on a piece of paper to get the fairy out

Honestly, I absolutely love drawing magical circles for Iter. A very calming activity. Just circles and lines - basically geometric drawings and trying to make it look interesting

Oh I got so upset at myself for walking into a trap on Iter and fully dying that I just had to increase the visibility of it 😤 Will have to see if people think it's way too visible, but for now it's stays like that

Suddenly Divinity original sin 2 soundtrack came up. Already played 78h. About to finish act 2, but only optional things are left. Maybe I should finish it on steam deck... But damn am I not good at it. Probably the only game in recent memory that made me select easy mode for the boss batles

Rolled the credits on ME3 at 1am tonight. Second full playthrough. Paragon, of course. Sentinel, Adept and the Vanguard. I was hoping to romance Tali for the last game with previously romancing Liara and Jack, but something happened and no matter the interactions, nothing happened

Roll the credits on Mass Effect 1 replay today and then watched The Odyssey. Now I'm drinking tea, eating cherries and starting ME2. People really do make some goated stuff

Now that my pc has left for the coworking space I am left with a ps5 and steam deck, which is pretty rad, since there's a bunch of games I wanted to play on them. Especially on the ps, such as Indika and FF7 remakes. Also couldn't stop myself from downloading Mass Effect. Will play it bit by bit

Martynas A @martanti.bsky.social · 28/07/2026
For me PSP2I ep1 story felt like fell flat when compared to PSU, but I don't think I'm equipped with enough narrative knowledge to explain why. But, what I can say is that tying the best ending to acing every story mission and picking the correct dialogue options kind of ruined the experience....

Though I can't say that I would switch back to W10. I was thinking of wiping the system and trying to get popOS22 installed. But I'll probably try using wine on Unreal before doing that. Though, auto-tiling feature is kinda nice, when I pop windows in and out. Especially on an ultrawide screen

Martynas A @martanti.bsky.social · 10/07/2026
Updating popOS to 24 broke a lot of things. Only recently managed to get my drawing tablet working with OpenTabletDriver. But still some programs behave weirdly. Godot renaming popup appears at a large offset. And UE5 also has some weird dialogs that mess with my mouse inputs :(

Shiny! Finally got to a state where I feel like there's enough polish to make the build public!

Screen protectors badly aligned. Tons of apps requiring logins. Gone signal chats. Oh yeah it's new phone time. (Damn it's chunky, I can barely balance it in my hand)

Martynas A @martanti.bsky.social · 05/06/2026
Updating my godot 4.3 project straight to godot 4.6.3 because why not (the why not is actually the godot steam integration plugin that I would like to use). And damn the engine looks so slick now, compared to before! I just reeeeeally hope things don't break too much. Fingers crossed!

Woke up hungover an hour before my flight, when the alarms were set to ring 3h before. Got in the nick of time to the gate. Only for a armed drone to fly into Lithuanian airspace after landing. What a day it's been so far lol

Just played my game on a deck. All I have to say, is that when I was designing controls I only thought about controllers and the grips around them. Thankfully, deck has grip buttons that I will be try to use 😅

Pierre Bourdieu once argued that the question of whether something is art isn't answered by the artist's intention or even the object itself. Instead, the quality of being "art" is conferred by a community — curators, dealers, auction houses, audiences, etc. 🧵
Someone on Threads writes: "The Met Gala feels like real dystopian shit.

People can’t afford groceries or gas. But we’re going to celebrate this event which is nothing more than wealth porn."

Feels like that's the way forward and would be nice for more governments to do this jump. Relying on continuous support from a foreign mega corporation that's focused on profits rather than stability feels risky as hell, especially nowadays

A year ago my PS5 controller's right stick started drifting. Got that fixed for 25€. Now the left one is starting to act out. But only when pushing it to the right. I find that out when testing my game. Was so scared that the game had some random issue with controls lol
