Coincidentally, the black folks that I have seen talk about this have been discussing more about how the Black community there has come together in facets to help one another out in spite of our government doing absolutely nothing. But, y’know… “crime” and “hellholes” and “narratives” and junk.

Hi guys. I dont know how to phrase this message other than directly saying that my partner was victim of a hate crime tonight. She's alive, albeit with a (very likely) broken nose. We are in need of any help we can get. Anything at all helps. Thank you. ko-fi.com/gaybandaids

Apollo ate rat poison (thanks to my bitch grandma putting it where he could get it) so now I have no money. I would do it again. He has follow up blood work and checks with his vet. I don't know how much. This is more important than my medical bills to me. Anything helps ko-fi.com/isoheals

The boiler in my house has broken and needs urgent replacement. Not unexpected, given that it was literally older than me, but this will cost £4975 and I cannot afford the whole amount myself. Please commission me or donate if you're able. ko-fi.com/penrost776/g...

Ex-farm worker here. We need to talk about this whole "But a living wage for farm workers would spike the cost of food!" thing. Not true AT ALL. Y'all don't understand how fast experienced farm workers are. The average tomato picker pulls 650lbs per hour. At $20/hr, that's $0.03/lb for labor.

As well-meaning publishers try to navigate the coming storm of state laws against diversity, I hope they'll consider Timothy Snyder's Rule #1 (from his slim book ON TYRANNY).

Reproduction of excerpt from Timothy Snyder's book ON TYRANNY:

"1. Do not obey in advance.
Most of the power of authoritarianism is freely given. In times like these, individuals think ahead about what a more repressive government will want, and then offer themselves without being asked. A citizen who adapts in this way is teaching power what it can do."
