DeepSeek is shady. If you ask it who it is made by right off the bat, it will say it is made by DeepSeek, but if you start a conversation with it and then ask a few questions in, it will tell you it was created by Open AI or Anthropic (Claude) and I've heard others.

Anne Frank, Martin Luther King, and Barbara Walters were all born in the same year (1929). Barbara Walters died in 2022. Crazy to think about how the lives of the other two were cut short.

I don't know what it is about Bluesky, but it feels way more fun than Facebook right now... It just feels less toxic. I think it's the fact that you can choose your feed algorithms and none of them seem to prioritize angry engagement.

Cool tool for building your network - figure out who your mutuals are following who you haven't found yet. By count (gets big accounts) By proportion (gets niche accounts) Username only, or generate a one time app password in settings to follow directly from the page.

The underground rave scene in China sounds AWESOME. It sounds so much more counterculture and edgy in a society with social credit scores and mass surveillance. Also, can you imagine the rave lighting in cities like Shenzhen? 🤯🫠 apnews.com/article/chin...

Although the match seemed rigged, I'm willing to believe that Mike Tyson was just weak and Jake Paul felt it early on (or knew prior to the match). Rather than pummeling an elder with health problems, he just took it easy on Mike out of respect (and to not look like an asshole). #PaulTyson

High resolution image of a planet 3 billion km away and its rings. Uranus by JWST. 🔭 🧪

The planet Uranus on a black background. The planet appears blue with a large, white patch taking up the right half. The patch is whitest at the centre, then fades into blue as it expands from right to left. A thin outline of Uranus is also white. Around the planet is a system of nested rings. The outermost ring is the brightest while the innermost ring is the faintest. Unlike Saturn’s horizontal rings, the rings of Uranus are vertical and so they appear to surround the planet in an oval shape. There are 9 blueish white dots scattered around the rings.
