Newly forbidden: Not wanting to be served an automatic loss because the other player was skilled enough to draw Maxx "C" Floodgates that effectively skip turn 1 can fix the issue of player 1's advantage, but they do not address Yugioh's main issue of unfun, noninteractive gameplay.

Cake☆Yummy No special occasion--I just wanted to use what I learned from the previous batch. I ran out of powdered sugar for the buttercream frosting, but the bit of grit from substituting some granulated sugar actually feels kind of nice. Uhhhh anyway, new Yugioh video this week.

I had a great time at the Chaos Origins prerelease! I was so lightheaded from five rounds of rapid-fire explaining what my cards do, while also having great conversations with fellow Yugioh players. I never regret ditching my local OTS full of nasty cheaters, to drive farther out to the fun place.

Competitive Yugioh is too easy, so I improvised a biscuit recipe using blueberries as a natural dye but only if the dough's pH level is successfully recalibrated to a specific point. + ladyfingers with dark chocolate and a whipped strawberry mascarpone cream cheese, because I'm trying to be classy.

"Limited Pack GX: Ra Yellow" based on season 2 has just been announced, which after Slifer means in another 6 months we'll see an "Obelisk Blue" set based on season 3. Which means we'll probably get at least one new Crystal Beast card, to reach the TCG in Q1 2027! :')

On the plane home from YCS Richmond I got seated next to a fellow duelist (and fan!). We could not shut up about our decks and our experiences. The flight really ...flew by 😎 Duelists, talk to each other! Yugioh is the greatest game ever made and it gives us all so many stories to bond over.
