Donald Trump did NOTHING for New York after 9/11. He was never at Ground Zero. He sent no construction crews. And there's no evidence he donated a single penny to help As we mourned our family, our friends, our city, Trump's only "contribution" was to brag that he had the tallest building downtown

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days. ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.

Any book about Trump that describes him as "unconstrained" or "norm-breaking" is a coverup. Any honest account from "inside the presidency" would report that he is deranged, dysfunctional, flighty, ignorant, bigoted, and a sociopath. The big question it could answer is: Is he lying or is he deluded?

For me January 12, 2024. And your analysis is spot-on. It is thought of as a schlocky, but I think that misses the underlying message about who the “gambler” was. And it’s that character-driven narrative that makes it so good, in a way that is a credit to Schlitz’s quiet songwriting prowess.

The Declaration of Independence specifies 27 grievances with King George III and Britain. Donald Trump and his regime have committed at least 20 of those same offenses highlighted in yellow. #NoKings
An image of a list of the 27 grievances against King George III in the Declaration of Independence. Donald Trump's regime has committed at least 20 of them in whole or in part, condensed into the list below:
1.	He has refused his Assent to Laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good.
2.	He has refused to pass other Laws for the accommodation of large districts of people, unless those people would relinquish the right of representation …
3.	He has dissolved Representative Houses repeatedly, for opposing … his invasions on the rights of the people.
4.	He has endeavoured to prevent the population of these States; … obstructing the Laws for Naturalization of Foreigners …
5.	He has obstructed the Administration of Justice …
6.	He has made Judges dependent on his Will alone, for the tenure of their offices …
7.	He has erected a multitude of New Offices, and sent hither swarms of Officers to harrass our people, and eat out their substance.
8.	He has kept among us, in times of peace, Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures.
9.	He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power.
10.	He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution … giving his Assent to their Acts of pretended Legislation:
11.	For Quartering large bodies of armed troops among us:
12.	For protecting them … from punishment for any Murders which they should commit …
13.	For cutting off our Trade with all parts of the world:
14.	For imposing Taxes on us without our Consent:
15.	For depriving us … of the benefits of Trial by Jury:
16.	For transporting us beyond Seas to be tried for pretended offences:
17.	For … abolishing our most valuable Laws, and altering fundamentally the Forms of our Governments:
18.	He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
19.	He has … destroyed the lives of our people.
20.	He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us …

✋ Former USG war crimes lawyer here. Apropos of SecDef's remarks this morning: Denial of quarter—even the declaration of no quarter—is a war crime. And recognized as such by the US Government. From DoD's Manual for Military Commissions.
(1) The accused declared, ordered, or otherwise indicated that there shall be no survivors
or surrender accepted;
(2) The accused thereby intended to threaten an adversary or to conduct hostilities such
that there would be no survivors or surrender accepted;
(3) It was foreseeable that circumstances would be such that a practicable and reasonable
ability to accept surrender would exist;
(4) The accused was in a position of effective command or control over the subordinate
forces to which the declaration or order was directed; and
(5) The conduct took place in the context of and was associated with hostilities.
