There may well be active duty troops in the Middle East right now who have family members locked in ICE jails. Congress authorized Military Parole-in-Place specifically to avoid this situation. But the Trump admin has shown little care to families caught in this situation.

There are moderates in the Democratic Party who’ve called to expel the D.S.A. from the Democratic coalition. And I want to flip that around. Is there room in the party you want to create for moderate Democrats? Yes. Full stop. I’m not interested in expelling people from parties. I think that’s what you do when you can’t win the debate within the party.

Even if they work with AIPAC? If they are Democrats and they run as Democrats and they win as Democrats, then they should be a part of the Democratic Party. There are people with whom I have vehement disagreements with on any number of topics. But if we can find a place of agreement, that’s what I’m going to focus that relationship on. The Trump admin's latest strategy to mass generate removal orders is diabolical: - Take a huge group of people with hearings scheduled in late 2026, 2027, or 2028. - Send them a physical letter rescheduling all of their cases to next week. - Those who inevitably miss court get ordered deported.

In the middle of a healthcare provider shortage in the Rio Grande Valley, it is unthinkable that ICE would keep Ruby locked away. Her 5 year-old daughter Milena and husband need her home. Her patients need her too. ICE should release Dr. Barrios and allow her to continue her work helping people.
