Light streams through the high windows in the sanctuary of the Minoritenkirche in central Vienna, operated by the Society of Saint Pius X. A life size mural of The Last Supper dominates one of the walls. It is a tile mosaic by Roman artist Giacomo Raffaelli, commissioned by Napoleon I in 1809. It is 9.18 x 4.47 meters and weighs approximately 20 tons. In it, Jesus is depicted wearing a pink shirt.

Visitors make their way up the final steps from the valley below in preparation for their visit to Eisriesenwelt, the largest ice cave in the world. Located south of Salzburg in the Austrian Alps, the cave offers tours during parts of the year. In the photo, people rest on the rocks at the entrance and view the mountains stretching out into the distance. A concrete roof on the left side protects visitors on the last portion of the climb from falling rock.

Built to honor William Wallace near the site of his triumph over the British at Stirling Bridge in 1297, the sandstone tower was completed in 1869. Wallace, made famous in the movie Braveheart with Mel Gibson, is a Scottish hero. The statue of Wallace on the exterior of the tower was created by David Watson Stevenson.
