Transitioning away from X Our existing X/Twitter presence will point our followers to our preferred platforms ( #LinkedIn, #Mastodon and #Bluesky), facilitating community migration while maintaining our established audience connections. #Drupal #BoycottX

Strategic use We'll maintain selective engagement on #Instagram and #Facebook for specific campaigns, announcements, and event promotion where these platforms can effectively advance Drupal adoption. #Drupal

If either platform reaches 5,000 followers, we’ll promote them to being a priority platform. We’d love to see them become our preferred platforms. #Drupal

Emerging preferred platforms We're actively building presence on #Mastodon and #Bluesky, platforms that align with our open-source values. We’ll give it 6 months of effort and see if we can grow audiences, and then re-assess. #Drupal

Preferred platforms #LinkedIn will be our preferred platform. It is our strongest performing platform with good engagement and professional audience alignment. This will receive primary focus for community announcements and growth efforts. #Drupal

#Drupal CWG and Drupal Association do not engage on this issue: Leaving X/Twitter & Meta and applying more ethical vendor selection criteria Maybe the values and Code of Conduct are just fancy words 🤔 See comment from drupal.community/@jpoesen See the issue here: www.drupal.org/project/drup...

Software developer job interview madeofmistake.com/proglang

A four-panel comic strip showing a job interview where the interviewer expresses surprise that the candidate's custom programming language, XYZZY, is only a year old, as they are looking for someone with eight years of experience in it. The interviewer sighs in the final panel, wondering why it's so hard to find good people.
