Tony Burke’s latest migration changes may bring numbers closer to government forecasts, but they will not fix the deeper failures in planning, forecasting and administration, Peter Hughes writes. #auspol #immigration

Labor’s migration mess is a failure of planning, not just politics
Labor’s latest migration crackdown may bring numbers closer to government forecasts, but years of piecemeal reform have left the underlying problems of planning, administration and public confidence unresolved.

While ABC is busy legitimising anti-migrant narratives, hosting programmes titled "Australia’s migration challenge”, they're turning a blind eye to all sorts of impropriety vis a vis Australia's offshore detention regime. Thankfully smaller outlets & independent journos are plugging the gap.
