BTS of @conor_medlock in the studio today for some #actorheadshots. A very enjoyable shoot, with maybe one or two funny outtakes too :-) #Photography #headshot #actor #leeds

Last week, my 10 year old daughter and I completed our collection of the Yorkshire 3 peaks, by hiking up Ingleborough. You can see more of the photographs on my blog (link in bio) #yorkshire3peaks #hiking #ukcountryside #sheep #photography

It was a good opportunity to photograph mindfully. To be a ‘blank slate’ and just take photos of what I saw and liked. Also - 35k steps in a day is ok.

I had several errands to run the other day. Unfortunately, the first one was dropping my van in for a service 3 miles away and walking back home, before heading into Leeds. 1/2 #photography #documentaryphotography #walking

Between work and family, I’ve not really managed much time for anything else but I’m finally starting to get a grip on the #polaroidi2. I’m starting to get a bit nearer to what I wanted to achieve with it and 5 shots I like, out of a pack of 8 is my best hit rate so far !!. #filmphotography

A few more photographs from my recent trip to the Isle of Man. The day before the wedding, I had the opportunity to have a guided tour of Peel on a lovely, sunny morning. Being somewhere new is always inspiring. #thephotohour #photography #isleofman

Calf Sound in the Isle of Man is a beautifully desolate place. It also reminded me that I don’t use my Voigtlander 20mm lens enough

Doing a bit more clearance at my mums house, I found a box of old stuff in the loft, which included a photo of my mum that I’d never seen before, and a book of state of the art (c1977/78) cars. Treasure from 6 year old me and for 56 yr old me.

March has been a really busy month, workwise. I’ve not had a lot of chance to make much project work, but carrying a camera everywhere has allowed me to get the occasional little bits… #leeds #thephotohour #everydaycarry

A few images from around Leeds as I’ve been doing stuff. Carrying a small compact camera everywhere isn’t something I’ve done for quite a while - getting back into it again now though #leeds #yorkshire #thephotohour #photography

I was doing a bit of work in Newcastle this week. On the quayside there’s a lovely cat cafe. I photographed this handsome dude in the window, eyeing up the pigeons. Have a good Caturday people. #cats #photography #streetphotography #newcastle #thephotohour

A couple of weeks ago, I picked up a Ricoh GRIV as an every day carry camera. I don’t think a camera has ever surpassed my expectations more!! These are just some low res jpeg transfers to my phone from a work overnight in Newcastle. #photography. #ricohgr4 #newcastle

Hole in a fence. There’s not a lot more to say about it really, other than I think what drew me to it was the structured lines of the building against the chaotic lines of the hole torn in the wire fence. #leeds #documentary #photography

A bit more work featuring Tunstall beach on the Yorkshire Coast, as the Royal Observation Corps nuclear monitoring bunker, built in 1951, makes its final journey due to coastal erosion. There’s more ROC Tunstall work on my website (link in bio). #photography #documentary #yorkshire #coast

Tunstall ROC bunker fell into the sea last week. It was 100m inland when it was built in 1951. Parts of the Yorkshire coast are eroding at nearly 2m a year. #documentaryphotography #photography #environment #yorkshire

Finally starting to get on top of the work pile and the life issues that have been swallowing my time up for the last few months and getting back to some project work. Tunstall, on the Yorkshire coast is a perfect example of a settlement that’s struggling against the erosion of the coastline.

Walking back from the station the other night, I saw this rather splendid beast. Petrolheads will be salivating :-) I've never actually been anywhere in one - do they feel as unstable as they look? #photography #3wheeler #car

The transformative power of sunlight. As a bit of golden hour sun hits this silver birch tree, it changes into a different scene altogether. Over winter, I feel like the tree! There was less than ten seconds between these images. #photography #goldenhour #trees

Riverside walk in York. The Foss is really overgrown this year. Going back in my memory, in the 80’s it always used to be more like a swamp than a river. It used to look like you could walk across it #york #photography #river #nature

The woods where we walk the dog are quite photogenic. I’ve not had time to do project work in the last few months, so I’ve had to settle for carrying my camera wherever I go and grabbing what I can. There’s a whole blog post of October images on my website (link in bio) #photography #thephotohour

I picked up a #polaroid I-2 to have a play with, potentially for a project I was thinking about doing in the near future. It’s a love/hate relationship so far, but I think it’s more to do with me needing more practice and knowing what to expect from the film…
