Like being in 2006 again. Came out of the lobby & everyone was shit talking. It made me smile & made me think of better times.

Yeah, by brute forcing I mean going on a murderous rampage with your abilities 😂

It's definitely more grounded & isn't something you can brute force like Dishonored.

Same man. It's a unique itch but this very much scratched that itch.

I've noticed lots of nice little QoL touches like this. I love the camera transitions for the parkour sections, reminded me of Deus Ex.

I am just in the dungeon at the end of the Vatican. Hoping to see a more expansive area next. I've missed playing games like this.

I've spent most of the day playing Indiana Jones, it's got so much Dishonored DNA running through it. Love it. I'm about 12 hours in & have been exploring the Vatican, doing side quests & activities. It's the most AAA feeling game I've played in a while. Really enjoyable.

I haven't really enjoyed an Assassin's Creed game since 2 tbh but I am falling in love with Odyssey. Each quest has a narrative behind it with top tier production values, the mercenary system adds weight to each encounter forcing forward planning & Kassandra herself is a brilliantly realised hero.

Yeah it's moment to moment gameplay is very Bethesda like even down to starting in a dungeon like Oblivion

We've been absolutely blown away by the first few hours of Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon. I feel like I've jumped in at the right time when the game is at its best. A dark fantasy BGS-inspired game is what I needed to play right now. Bravo to the team 👏

Simpler times. I turned 40 last year & honestly I have been so nostalgic for the mid 2000's time in games. I miss just booting up the 360 & playing Gears with friends all weekend. If you're in your early 20's now make sure you appreciate this time you have. 🙏

Going into 2026, a reminder for everyone who's fallen off the creative wagon, game dev, writing, art, music, whatever, no matter how long:
A post by c.a.t.y.a.y that reads, "I wonder what my art could've been if I didn't quit". Iggy responds, "I wonder what it will be if you start again"

Spent some time with Lords of the Fallen this afternoon. The umbral lantern is an interesting concept & feature, but I am not a fan of the camera position, and the combat animations are fast, which makes it feel "floaty" and not deliberate, unlike in the Souls series.

Some #Blocktober progress I’ve been focusing more on pacing & exploring lightweight, storytelling techniques that work well on mobile. The goal is to keep everything diegetic, letting the environment communicate the story rather than relying on cutscenes or UI #leveldesign

Normalise Level Designers playing through their levels, doing commentary on design choices and taking the time to set up scripted events and combat scenarios. In this competitive environment top down maps, screenshots & fly throughs aren't enough. Stand out.

Personally I think Halo MCC like Mass Effect LE are the best value for money in gaming. If you're looking to learn about game, level, narrative or combat design - study these two games

Games leaders, please embrace more AA projects and AA budgets—quality over scope. Helldivers 2's success should be a wake-up call. Players want more games like Singularity and FEAR than another live service or open-world game. Listen to the market, not your ego.

Finding a concerning trend with the redundancies in games, why is it never the Senior & above staff affected when it's them mandating the content that gets made which fails to resonate with Players or publishers? You'll normally find the people doing the work know it's shit but can't do anything.

7 years is a long time. Still incredibly proud of the people that helped me put this concept together. It was our attempt at blending survival horror & immersive sims together but the horror elements were really poorly executed. Still not a bad attempt after 9 months. youtu.be/8zjzwOpbwK4?...
