The fact that the article doesn’t even mention the rounds of local targeted consultation, or pull from the engagement summaries is just bad reporting, especially when they mention a specific number for a petition to get rid of it.

At the risk of betraying my cycling credentials, I got a van last week after months of importing it from Japan. It’s a 2008 Toyota regius ace.

I think there might be a fire on the north shore mountains somewhere- this isn’t normal flight paths for helicopters here and I don’t think these are SAR.

Look,I’m generally for painted bike lanes(they designate a space, so when you go to put in a permanent separated one there’s far less pushback, but you have to build the culture to support them if you’re not going to have a physical barrier. if that means ticketing folks like this, then so be it.

It’s insane that it’s 2026, and the city still doesn’t have a connector or signage to from the Masumi Mitsui greenway to the arbutus greenway.

A concrete pathway veers to the left and then back to the right, while a wide dirt path goes straight and meets back up with the concrete path.

One more thing about this, back when talks about CPKC and city to turn the rail line into a greenway, City assured that it wouldn't impact the delivery- but that turns out not to be the case- sidewalks were removed from the plan due to those discussions. csg001-harmony.sliq.net/00317/Harmon...

What I really object to is that these changes won't achieve two of the city's three goals for the project. It won't make an AAA route- most of this section is still on a road with no separated lane. It also won't make it any safer than it already is- the greenway is already a 30km/h narrow road.

I honour of the opening ceremonies- I was just a baby.
Mark looking at the camera while gesturing to his head with brown foam moose antlers on. In the background there are moving lights that need to get repaired. Mark standing looking at the camera with the Vancouver 2010 in stadium olympic cauldron lit behind him. You can tell this is from the opening ceremonies because it only has three supports, due to the technical error during the ceremony.

Out of curiosity, what was the time difference between requesting it and it being done? Because it took over two years to kinda fix these stairs made of plywood. (The stairs are still falling apart, because, plywood)

I’ll save you the entire album of 70+ photos but as a woodworker the benches in museums are interesting from a practical and design standpoint. Especially as they reveal budget, or expansion points in the collection or building or just giving people the illusion of rest being possible.
