Sherlock is glaring at me from a roof two gardens down because I dared to give her a flea treatment.

Have been suffering a lot of both physical and financial misfortune lately, but thought our luck was finally changing when our (very old) car sailed through the MOT and only cost 54 quid. Two days later we try to use the car and it is completely undrivable as the power steering hose is fucked.

Just watched a rat stroll across my garden passing within swiping distance of two of my cats, who just sat there giving it friendly looks.

I have become fixated on the couple shown in the top right of this bit from the opening credits of Cagney and Lacey, affectionately know (by me) as Belly Man and his lovely wife. Were they extras, or just a random couple caught up in guerrilla filmmaking? Also, what are his trousers made out of?

The opening credits of Cagney and Lacey featuring Belly Man, his Lovely Wife and some other people I don't care about (apart from Cagney and Lacey).

How is my day going? Well one of my cats had the shits all up the garden path and while I was trying to clean it up I got caught by some brambles and then accidentally stood in some of the shit. I might just go to sleep so nothing else can happen.

We have a mysterious but fortunately minor leak under the sink that is either coming from the sink, or the washing machine or the dishwasher. I might just move to a cave in the woods and live out my days like a hermit so I don't have to deal with it.

A selection of meals I have made myself recently. I am going to be 50 in November.

A face made of food. The lower half is half a pie and the top[ half is mashed potato with peas for eyes and tomato sauce for a nose and eyebrows. The hair is made of peas with butter.

A food face made out of half a quiche for the mouth and two potato croquettes for eyes. Some tomato sauce has been added for detail.

I have been feeling really unwell for weeks and the house has been getting gradually messier. Felt slightly better on Monday, so I decided to deep clean the bathroom and also lifted the hoover up for ages to suck up cobwebs above the stairs. This was a terrible idea.
