When you ask people about economic inequality, what crosses their minds? In a new open-access paper in Sociology, I asked 47 participants this question. Almost no one talked about money alone. Instead, they pointed to gender, race, visa status, language, and disability. 🧵👇

Many assume that migrants are drawn to Germany by its welfare benefits. A new open access study by our postdoc @margheritacusmano.bsky.social complicates that.
