As a white person I honor my culture. When rewatching The Wire I will often look at normal situations, like a pile of laundry in the basement and say: "The game is the game" I will think this when loading up steam or painting minis.

Just putting some yellow on my models in the morning is a little bit of joy I can control. I rarely do favors for future Andrew but this is one thing that I'm helping him out with.

Some more painted models. They have a single coat of contrast paint that is drying. There are several more models behind them.

Painted 3 minis this morning before work. The minis up top didn't have any underpainting and the bottom had some dark pink underpainting. In the future I think might use an airbrush to put a lighter underpaint. I'm really not sure how to fix this but I'll keep at it.

This is the ideal Warhammer army 2 months before an event. There are some half painted legends, some complete models, and others that would take about 1 afternoon to finish.

As somebody who has done both I think regular updates that address the issues in the game is such a huge benefit to the sickos that care about win rates. But there are multiple ways to just throw dice and move models if you want to create stories.

There is a lot of self sorting that needs to be done when it comes to minis. The vast majority of people that have an interest in the games play fewer than 1 or 2 games per month. Then there are a huge number of people who play 4-5 games per week.

There are plenty of policies that can be compromised or discussed - marginal tax rates, funding capital projects. However, basic human rights and dignity should be off the table and leaders who can't tell the difference between the two just suck.

Fundamentally a larger number of right leaning people think that we are just making a show or being performative in our support for basic human rights and dignity. So when the "leaders" signal that these things are negotiable they interpret this as the mask slipping.

This model broke and is one of the most frustrating builds I've had in a starter box. I don't understand how it wasn't set up to fail. One solution might be showing a bunch of rocks. This is warhammer
