Colorful houses by the coast of Cobh, Ireland

A coastal old town, there are layers of 2-3 story houses. A few houses in the front that are next to each other are painted in different colors. A very tall cathedral tower in the back, its size has a dramatic contrast to the surrounding smaller houses. The sky is cloudy and gloomy.

Between the gloomy sky and cold ocean water, a thin shoreline that’s full of green grasses. A short light house in the front, and a few houses that are painted in different colors lined up in the back.

@codepen This may have something to do with somehow I got into a bad user session state, it worked in a different browser. Also tried it again in the same browser after a while, saw an error message on the pen list page, after refreshing, everything seems to be working now.

@codepen The new version frequently hangs when creating a new pen or loading an existing pen. It appears to be a WebSocket issue. This has been happening ever since 2.0 was in beta but got more frequently in the last week or so.

When using `autofocus` on an element inside a `<dialog>`, the browser implementations are a bit messy. Seems Chromiums struggle with `<dialog>` in shadow root, and Firefox and Safari struggle with slotted content. Will file bugs if I can’t find any. cdpn.io/pen/debug/PwbRmXE #HTML

Took me a while to figure out what was going on here: tapping on the AirPods charging notification opens up the detail screen right on the lock screen/Notification Center, which is another bubble that says exactly the same thing but with a different corner radius. #Apple #design #iOS

Why do humans make our own lives so much harder than they need to be? What’s the point of having technological advancements if the life quality of ours and other species are getting worse? Also I wish farming was discovered after greed was no longer a human trait.

@westbrook Yeah I remember :host:has() was somewhat on track but some people didn’t like the idea of :host(:has()) for the fact that some arbitrary light DOM structure could affect shadow DOM styles. But it would be so useful!
