I should have mentioned it will be called the Center on Affective and Autonomic Neuroscience and we will be doing 7T imaging in combination with measures of autonomic physiology and Alzheimer’s disease biomarkers to better understand how these change in tandem during young and middle age.

Various lines of evidence indicate that there should be influences of breathing on locus coeruleus activity (and therefore on pupil dilation) yet demonstrating these relationships has been challenging. Kluger et al. used phase coherence to quantify oscillatory coupling between the two signals.
