I've got those little Lego plant friends on my desk at work, and the last two weeks I have come in after the weekend to them moved so it looks like they have had a fight.

I've been messing around with the Open Camera app, because I'm getting tired of the processing garbage that keeps getting shoehorned into the base camera in Android, and it's nice to be able to take sunset photos that don't have the colors autocorrected out of the image

I went to Barkerville this past Saturday, and met this lovely cat at the Wells Hotel when we stopped there for dinner. His name is Sammy.

I actually managed to do something for a recent photo club challenge, we had to do the thing where you cut a shape in black paper and attach it to your lens to change the shape of the light bokeh in a photo

I participated in a photo challenge about winter and this is what I came up with

Messing around with some photos I took last year. I took the first shot, thought the lighting was flat, so I brought out my gold reflector and got the second. The background lighting looks weird to me so I did a darker exposure from the raw file, combined that with the second image and for the third

So I have a new GIS job and it is at a place where I am in a union, and did a strike, and also have the option to work slightly longer days so I get one work day off in ten. So yesterday I had some time to take photos of frost (most of which are still on my camera but here's a couple from my phone)

Anyway, other than when she decided her surgery pajamas had gotten too smelly, she was pretty comfortable in them. It was so much better than leaving her angry in a cone for the two weeks she had to wait for her stitches to come out, but that didn't stop her from judging me a little bit

It look a bit to find the package if saved with all the instructions, but it was called After Surgery Wear, and I got it from the pharmacy at my vet's office. There's a couple of smaller sizes, because Mako is six pounds but long

I ended up getting surgery onesies for my cat after her last surgery because the soft cone I got her just made her so angry. When it was on, she would hide under the bed and she'd only come out grudgingly for treats

Came home this evening and was extremely surprised to find a little mouse trapped in my bathtub. No idea how the little guy got in there, and now I have to bleach out an entire bathtub.

I just found it last night, and I am very proud of myself for not even yelling, buuuut I am pretty upset. Went to the nursery today and got some advice, and some quick dissolving fertilizer. The stems are still green, except maybe the rightmost one so I'm going to try to save the poor little buddy

I've been trying to get a black raspberry plant for my yard for a while. It's tricky, because the nursery gets them in March and then I need to keep them alive for months in a pot in my house. I finally succeeded this year, and got it planted out a month or so ago. And then, last week, this happened

Raspberry canes cut very roughly abby a weed whacker. There's about ten centimeters or so of stem left on each one z with no leaves.

Apparently spring is trying to happen or something. I have never in my life had my garlic come up this early in the year. Also I wish I had mini daffodils in my yard, but those are at my friend's place where I've been house-sitting.

I finally got something that covers up her stitches at least, and she's less miserable than with the cone. Also, her lump was big enough that she needs a drain for a few days! I'm so tired I keep forgetting the word for drain and I keep telling people that my cat has a vent.

My poor kitty had a lumpectomy yesterday, so now she's very upset because of getting antibiotics and pain pills, and she either has to wear surgery pants or a cone. She's just finally out from under my bed and relaxing for the first time since she came home from the vet yesterday.

After we got home, Mako got some dinner before I managed to take the hot pink bandage off her foreleg.
