Part of why Coretta Scott King is marginalized is because of a bipartisan tendency to want to celebrate the Kings IN THE PAST. Focusing directly on Coretta disrupts the view of a movement long since over and provides a sharp rebuke to this country’s war-making and cuts to welfare & education today.

Judicial nominees who cannot answer a question this basic because they are scared of the president have no business serving as judges. The GOP doesn't care, though. Which is why we must vote them out of power in November.
Screenshot of a tweet from Headquarters quoting a Senate hearing exchange in which Senator Chris Coons asks Trump judicial nominees whether Trump is eligible to run for a third term. A nominee hesitates and says they would need to review the wording. Coons then states clearly that the 22nd Amendment prohibits it and asks if anyone else is willing to say so. The nominees remain silent, and Coons responds "Nobody? Alright." Includes a video thumbnail of Senator Coons at the hearing, resting his chin on his hand.

Given the evisceration of the VRA, it's useful to listen to Coretta Scott King: “Struggle is a never ending process. Freedom is never really won, you earn it and win it every generation.” She understood nonviolent direct action was "militant" and essential and spent her entire life fighting.
