i got this lil guy a few weeks ago and it’s been a fun summer with it.

they are kind of spongey- haven’t found it annoying as you get more powerful, although you can tweak things like enemy health, incoming damage, outgoing damage, outgoing falter, and more if you want (and with no penalty)

remedy sickos have nothing to worry about, thankfully. it’s more of control. and then, for what it’s worth, i am really digging the combat and the new game structure in general.

third time coming back to it and it’s come so far during early access. hard to find games that truly grow and get better during EA

idk exactly how to get at this - I’ve seen several commentators on the most recent ICE shooting preamble that the victim “wasn’t who they were looking for” or a “legal resident” and I promise you in the eyes of ICE it will never be about rules, humanity, morality, etc. they are all murderers

In the AAA space - if you enjoy Star Wars, Jedi Survivor is actually so good and has roots in the souls formula. Also - playing the FS games is what got me to try Armored Core 6. Not a souls like but shares the same kind of difficulty->reward thing, big boss movesets and became a top 10 for me.

I didn’t enjoy the first mortal shell, but mortal shell 2 looks nice and played well in the demo they had out recently. Remnant 2 was also a lot of fun imo, but leans into third person shooter while still being very souls-y. Blasphemous 1/2 if you like side scroller metroidvania.

enjoyed it but definitely felt like they didn’t nail the pacing. personally enjoyed the set pieces & story in the earlier parts of the game. curious how you feel when it’s done! I believe I know the section you’re referring to and I thought it was a cool sequence.

to say I lost my dad to conservatism is underselling it. earlier today I drove him to the Rx and we talked a lot about me dealing with epilepsy and doctors as I was growing up and how he dealt with it as a parent. He said one of his greatest concerns is that I would grow up and be nothing like him.

Dominic Grosso @manofinaction.bsky.social · 31/03/2026

tw; conservative parents hung out with my dad for the first time in awhile and eventually he asked me what I thought of the Iran war and I said it was unnecessary (to be brief) and he went on to say they are categorically bad people, a theocracy, and that some problems are only solved with violence
