A screenshot of a thread on X (formerly Twitter) featuring an exchange between John Carmack and notch, dated June 2026.

The text breakdown is as follows:

John Carmack (@ID_AA_Carmack) • Jun 22:
"Anti-data center yard signs are popping up in my area. I am entertaining the idea of paying for a billboard with something like “Data centers are awesome, Texas should lead!”"

notch (@notch) • 10h:
"Why?"

John Carmack (@ID_AA_Carmack) • Jun 24, 2026:
"If you are asking “Why push back against anti-datacenter efforts?” I consider it a tragedy that anti-nuclear efforts largely strangled nuclear power in the US based on vibes, and I don’t want to see that happen to AI. Public opinion matters, and it shouldn’t be ceded unchallenged.

If you are asking “Why should I support AI efforts at all?” I believe we are in the midst of a transition more vibrant than the industrial revolution. Opinions formed a couple of years ago about the uselessness of AI are no longer valid. Millions of people and organizations are getting great returns from using it, and the demand for data centers is the market responding to the value signal. That is how progress is made!"

On the right side, a happy man smiles and looks out his window at a bright, sunlit landscape of rolling hills; text above him identically reads, "THEY'RE TRAINING ON MY DATA".A meme featuring SpongeBob SquarePants looking anxious and cross-eyed while trying to read two pages of an open book simultaneously. The left page reads "AI WILL TAKE MY JOB" and the right page reads "AI SUCKS AT WHAT IT DOES", illustrating a conflicting and stressful dilemma.A satirical internet meme illustrating hypocrisy regarding technology infrastructure. In the center sits a large, modern server complex labeled "TERACHAD DATACENTER," featuring the face of the "Gigachad" meme icon embedded in the architecture.

Surrounding the facility are various crying "Wojak" and "Soyjak" characters angrily protesting data centers, yet each is actively using a tech product dependent on them. Red dashed arrows connect their devices through cell towers and satellites directly to the central data center:

Top left: A man yelling "No big tech! No Datacenters!" while holding a smartphone.

Top right: A man wearing headphones shouting "No more Datacenters!!" while looking at a laptop.

Middle left: A woman crying "Datacenters are killing us!!!" while holding a phone open to TikTok.

Middle right: A man screaming "Stop the Datacenters!!" while holding a phone with the Instagram logo.

Far right: A creature drowning in a body of water next to the facility.

Lower left: A bald man holding a laptop showing Facebook, stating "No Datacenters in my town!!"

Bottom left: A furious, red-eyed man holding a smartphone, screaming "Datacenters No!!!!!!"

Bottom right (middle): A pink-haired character holding a phone saying "F%&K Datacenters".

Bottom right: A crying man looking at a laptop with the YouTube logo, complaining "Datacenters are using all our water".An edited version of the three-way arm wrestling meme template based on a painting. A screenshot of a comment on a forum or blog post by user JdeBP, reacting to an article titled "JSON-LD Explained for Personal Websites."
The comment quotes the article: "It can aid web crawlers in understanding the semantic structure of your site, qualifying you for richer link previews, and even potentially improving your search ranking."
JdeBP responds critically, calling this "fighting the last war." They argue that optimization efforts like structured data or breadcrumbs are less relevant now because Google prioritizes lengthy, error-prone LLM-generated summaries above actual website links. The user concludes that implementing JSON-LD is a lot of effort for something direct visitors won't see and search engine users won't find "above the fold" due to Google's "massively LLM-ized version of stuff."

An X (formerly Twitter) post by Dylan Field (@zoink) reposting a tweet by Jen Zhu (@jenzhuscott).
Dylan Field’s caption reads: "When execution is cheap, design and creativity are the edge."
Jen Zhu's quoted tweet reads: "Massive output uptick due to agentic AI. Complete flat adoption." It features a Financial Times line chart titled, "Agentic AI spurred a boom in mobile app releases, but there is no sign of these apps gaining traction."
The chart tracks the relative change in monthly volumes of iOS app releases and reviews from 2023 to early 2026, using the 2024 average as a baseline of 100. A shaded region starting in 2025 marks the rise of "Agentic AI."
Following this point, the dark blue line representing "App releases" shoots up drastically to over 180 by 2026. Conversely, the light blue line for "Apps with significant usage" remains completely flat just below 100, and the medium blue line for "App reviews" trends sharply downward to around 75.

This is perfectly valid Go code.
Go source code, that reads:

```go
package main
import (
	"fmt"
)
type Fooᐸbarᐳ struct {
	Value string
}
func main() {
	v := Fooᐸbarᐳ{Value: "hello"}
	fmt.Println(v.Value)
}
```

A side profile photo of a golden British Shorthair cat with bright blue eyes standing on its hind legs and looking out a window. The cat has one paw pressed against the window screen, appearing curious or mesmerized by the sunny outdoors. Outside, a green tree, a white car, and a yellow road sign are visible under a clear blue sky.

Captured some cherry blossom blooms before they all just disappear for the summer.
An image of a cluster of vibrant pink, multi-petaled cherry blossoms in full bloom. The flowers are densely packed, resembling soft pom-poms, with bronze-tinted green leaves interspersed between the blossoms. The background shows more blurred pink flowers and green foliage, creating a lush, spring-time atmosphere.

I'm at the Metro Vancouver Headquarter, and their library has this.
A bookshelf filled with various technical textbooks and handbooks, primarily focused on civil engineering. The prominent books on the top shelf include two brown copies of the Standard Handbook for Civil Engineers (Fifth Edition) by Ricketts, Loftin, and Merritt, a black leather-bound Civil Engineering Handbook (Fourth Edition) by Urquhart, and a blue textbook titled Public Works Inspectors' Manual. The bottom shelf contains books on fluid mechanics, ISO 14000, and corrosion engineering. Each book features a white library classification label on its spine.

An extreme close-up, vertical shot shows the front paws of an orange tabby cat resting on the gray, textured fabric arm of a sofa. The paws are side-by-side, with the soft, cream-colored fur on the toes neatly tucked. The cat's light orange fur is visible on its legs, and a few white whiskers peek into the frame from above. The background is softly blurred, showing the curved back of the gray couch.
