Gen Z workers are so fearful AI will take their job they’re intentionally sabotaging their company’s AI rollout | Fortune fortune.com/2026/04/08/gen… #AI #jobs #resistance
Text Shot: Some employees report outright refusing to use AI tools. Others have even admitted to tampering with performance reviews or intentionally generating low-output work to make AI appear less effective.
As AI becomes ubiquitous across society, many people are growing to hate it. A recent NBC News poll found just 26% of registered U.S. voters have a positive view of AI, while 46% hold a negative view.

📣 Out on #FirstView 📣 @cbarns.bsky.social , Michael FitzGerald, @katiekrumbholz.bsky.social & @manika.bsky.social outline the trends in publishing in P&G compared to general-interest and other gender and politics journals in "What Does Politics & Gender Publish? " tinyurl.com/ym7ra5z4
Research article "What Does Politics & Gender Publish? Trends, Methods, and Topics in Gender and Politics Research" by Carolyn Barnett, Michael FitzGerald, Katie Krumbholz and Manika Lamba.
Abstract begins: We draw on a comprehensive dataset of metadata about journal articles substantively related to gender and politics published in 37 political science journals through the end of 2023, including Politics & Gender, to characterize and compare trends over time and the most prominent topics addressed by these journals. We show that the volume of work published by Politics & Gender has increased over time, has become increasingly quantitative in nature, and tends to focus on questions related to women running for political office and the nature of women’s political representation. These patterns closely reflect broader tendencies in the gender and politics research published by general-interest political science journals.

The list of words the Trump administration has banned from research grants is even longer than the lists I’ve seen online. Here are screenshots of the words confirmed by the NYTimes and listed in this article www.nytimes.com/interactive/...

+++ PUBLICATION ALERT! +++ Together with @manika.bsky.social, I looked at acknowledgement sections of theses. Turns out that there's gender inequality here, too, with women much more often acknowledging friends and family than men. Read more in our freshly baked OPEN ACCESS article!
