I mean... when I was 12, I discovered @dkvine.com, and that led me to dig out my "ancient" Super NES. I'd played so much DKC2 with my friends in the long, long ago times of 4 years earlier, back when the world was so much less scary and complicated and my voice didn't sound like this. So I get it!

I’ll sometimes hop into Donkey Kong Bananza just to hang out on DK Island. It reminds me of how I’d be perfectly content just to romp around Jungle Hijinxs for hours in the original Donkey Kong Country. For me, just being able to “exist” in this space is worth the price of admission.

i dunno, if anything it makes the whole thing even messier. We need to accept that Tiny's redesign was a result of an arbitrary decision from the developers and overall a mistake. Unless they get creative, it just doesn't make sense. Kongs basically age like humans do.
