I largely blame smartphones for this, too. I don't know a lot of Gen Z's or Gen A's with actual keyboards unless they're specific PC gamers.

For awhile, it hurt me too much to remind myself of things my dad shared and loved with me - but later, I was able to hold onto them more dearly. Songs, shows, foods. Find those things, but give yourself patience in what, and how, they remind you of him.

I'm so sorry, Sol. I lost my dad when I was 20. Patrick's advice above is really on point. The grief, for the first while, may feel unbearable and endless at times. I hope you can surround yourself with people who understand that you need some grace, and time.

My Japanese lessons are coming to an end soon. I've been so happy learning a new language, and I'm going to have to self-teach myself until early next year when I can take them again. I still have a long way to go, but I'm really happy I can read some basic stuff now! (Not near kanji yet though)

The 'One Sec' extension has been helping me a ton. I ignore it sometimes, but it makes me second-guess if I want to bother with scrolling, and it's done a good job curtailing the habit of just doing it impulsively.
