Well ill be, i actually designed something in CAD that actually functions (mostly) On the stream yesterday we designed a magnetic mounting active carbon filter for the back of the Prusa3D coreONE, and while it still needs some works, got it "functioning" in 3 revisions!

I've now mounted the front plate and electronics of my first 3d printer into a frame and given it a place of honour in my office. The printer with which everything #OctoPrint started. The printer that literally changed my life. I think that's a good way to keep it in memory.

I'm fairly sure this means to even remotely preheat the machine you will have to use "BambuConnect". So its, export GCode, open BC, Preheat, Upload GCode. Major? No. Annoying? Yes. I also wonder if this removes the Cloud element. I'd bet not, which is the actual security concern for most folks.

Yep. They've proven themselves to be solid options. I still dislike most of them. Many are just proprietary for the sake of it and not for the sake of innovation. But I don't view it nearly as negatively as I once did.

So often YouTube, Amazon, and Disney+ down res and ALL the info online blames your home wifi. Despite half the items in my house being hardwired to 2.5Gbps LAN and the other half on Wifi 6e/7 with a 1.3Gbps Internet connection. 🙄
