Visionary strategist @malkiadevichcyril.bsky.social helps open up #NPS with some big picture narrative strategy for building a winning movement in an age of rising fascism: “Wherever there is a wedge we will build a bridge. Wherever the Right had built a bridge, we will build a wedge.” 💥

"Theirs is a death cult. We believe in living. We can build belonging, radicalize our people at the site of loss. Collective grief is a powerful unifier. Grief is a solidarity strategy." <3 @malkiadevichcyril.bsky.social

I've been thinking about this piece by @malkiadevichcyril.bsky.social a lot lately. It can be hard to recognize & care for grief in ourselves and others, but it's everywhere right now as things break all around us. "Grounded grief is a vaccine against the morbid conditions bred by white supremacy."

I've continued thinking about this episode with @ejeris.bsky.social and @malkiadevichcyril.bsky.social about grief and healing and movements and fascism. It really is one to let sink in, as Ejeris Dixon says near the end. www.fascismbarometer.org/podcast-epis...

Thank you to the Thrive Network for sharing these words from @malkiadevichcyril.bsky.social
Black background with white text framed by yellow quotation marks at the top and a yellow horizontal line beneath the quote. The quote reads: “How can we see this moment differently? Maybe we can use the darkness right now to steady our hands, to soften our spirit, to level our gaze, to ground our inside. We might be afraid, but there is wisdom for us right now.” Below the yellow line is the attribution: “- Malkia Devich-Cyril.”
