As a teen with ADHD, I struggled to read—until I found “Greek Mythology” by Richard Stoneman. Its short entries let me read on my own terms. It was the first book that showed me I could enjoy reading. I just needed a format that matched how my brain works.

Building bass trap absorption panels using Rockwool Safe’n’Sound, cheap pine, and really cheap burlap. These are two batts thick, which should handle lower frequencies better than my other single batt panels.

I might have found a way to play rhythm guitar with minimal pain. Initially, I considered using a standard drop D tuning so I could bar with my middle finger instead of my index. However, that made playing major, minor, suspended, diminished, augmented, and extended chords much more difficult.

My mobile #recording rig vs my office rig. Both were meant to be for #RemoteRecording, but I get lazy about taking the rack gear anywhere. Like, the M2 is bus-powered, for crying out loud. I enjoy recording in tall-ceilinged churches, historic buildings, unique spaces, and golden-ratioed offices.

A hard case filled with foam, housing a MacBookPro (M1), an ADK Munich 7 T-FET microphone, a shock mount, a MOTU M2 interface, and a pair of Sony 7506 headphones. Not pictured: a mic stand and a small bag with a second pair of headphones, cables, adapters, hard drive, etc.

A 2u rack bag housing an RME Fireface800 interface and a Cranborne Camden EC2 mic preamp and headphone amp. Yes, it gets hot in there. I try not to leave it on too long.

My 5-year-old created two neighborhoods for her Barbies: “Princess World” where “all of the dolls with nice clothes get to live in the castle.” Outside of her room, in the hallway, are the slums of “Poor World” where its citizens are not allowed to leave. 😳
