![An image of a smiling cute girl having her photo ID checked. The ID photo is from before she transitioned, the person in the photo is dull with a flat/depressed expression. She is saying "hold on, let me do the face"
The 2nd image is of her making the same expression as the photo ID.
A quote under the image says "time changes you"
Beneath the meme image is a reply from user 'Takostakos'.
"The last time I travelled on my passport before updating my name and photo (but not marker.. thanks USA..) I was entering Japan and I did NOT look like my photo any more.
The customs person looked back and forth before asking
"Ah, excuse me, miss, are you sure this is your passport?"
I looked at the photo and said "oh! Let me make it easier"
Removed glasses, pulled hair back, thinned lips, and scowled.
The customs person responded "ah, I see now, thank you Miss [deadname], welcome to Japan" stamped the documents, and moved on to the next person"](https://cdn.bsky.app/img/feed_thumbnail/plain/did:plc:mod2rcamcpbuhv72kn4j7a73/bafkreie5b2mj6u47oia6n4byniehirinndnrra7ttvuolg2wckch5drusm)
