Yeah, idk. Death Stranding 2 sold okay, and I'm sure it was overbudget. This is an L for Sony, but it'll end up being a bigger L for Microsoft. Obviously, I hope it works out for them. But I'm not optimistic about this one. Some of y'all are acting like Kojima is a golden goose. He's not.

What I find upsetting about Kojima’s doubling down on working with Microsoft is that even if you heftily placed BDS aside, MS is so starkly anti-art and anti-human in its practices that it is entirely at odds with Kojima’s actual works. It’s an insurmountable compromise.

Played the Resonance demo. When you pick up a character from another FF game, Resonance spoils so many things about that game. In that sense it's unfortunately a FINAL FANTASY for fans but not first timers.

I will provide one thing for the discourse - people in the US did hate anime - quite extensively. A lot of it was racist assumptions in the same way old X-Play did toward Japanese games bc it was new and people are xenophobic. It got better more quickly, specifically thanks to Latino and Black fans

If you want to understand how the US led rules based order works, here's great example. When the ICC goes after criminals in non US allied countries, it is a beacon of international law. If pressure gets so high that it has no choice but to go after US allies, it's no longer a useful institution.
