So sorry. We had a problem - exterminator came but before he said we could expect results some very smelly blood & bone was spread on the front garden. No more scampering in the night! May be a coincidence.

Yes it was. I added handmade chicken stock and cooked it down. Probably needed a bit more powdered chipotle. I’d usually use a smaller bean but had them in the pantry. See my reply to Naina with my favourite use for butter beans.

I agree one of my favourite ways to eat them is bodega beans. Mixed with onion, garlic, finely diced celery, carrot & bacon. Bit of chili and served with toast, parsley & Parmesan. Very easy, very good.

I love Sabatier knives, my Magimix has a Sabatier blade. Yes the cost is steep however, the good quality stainless pans last forever. I can’t tell you how many nonstick pans I’ve replaced. I no longer use nonstick as I don’t need it on induction.

I have Belgian Demeyere stainless steel cookware. I bought it when we left the US with a combo of professional, staff discounts & gift vouchers. It’s seriously expensive but lasts forever. My husband suggested I leave my preserving pan to someone in my will! 🤣🤣

I use honey, however I was a bit short this morning so used a little maple syrup. I had a honey subscription up till this year, so always had it around.
