I'm glad that I might have been able to help! While I don't have a Steam Deck, this same issue happened to me when I updated my game's NW.js, and according to my players, downgrading was what fixed it.

I'm not sure if this may help, but if you had upgraded Deluge's NW.js from the default MZ one, you may need to downgrade to v0.77, as later versions aren't compatible with Steam Deck controls. That might be causing the issue.

This is actually a reference to a bug in the Japanese version of Dragon Quest IV. Casino prices are stored in a 24-bit value (the max is 16,777,215). Buying 838,861 coins at 20G each should cost 16,777,220G, but that overflows the counter: 16,777,220 − 16,777,216 = 4G

Why is it called PARAGON STORY? In my Dragon Quest-inspired game, instead of the legendary hero being bestowed the title of Roto or Erdrick, He is called the Paragon. If you played EXCALIBURIAN!!, the Paragon is very similar to Alexander, whose lore was inspired by Mirsa from Romancing SaGa.

I like The 7th Saga/Elnard slightly more but would still rank it as a lower-tier RPG for the system. I haven't tried Brain Lord yet, but it's also by the same developers.

A fun fact: I might have been partially responsible for the port of the G-Mode remake. In 2020, G-Mode ran a campaign that allowed fans to submit games for consideration, and my pick was among those selected!

In high school, I released a game to mixed reviews: the normal mode was too hard, the easy too easy, and the hard impossible. I now think it's better to curate one "intended" experience. EXCALIBURIAN!! was purposefully easy, while PARAGON STORY is harder to encourage interaction with its systems.
