This is actually a reference to a bug in the Japanese version of Dragon Quest IV. Casino prices are stored in a 24-bit value (the max is 16,777,215). Buying 838,861 coins at 20G each should cost 16,777,220G, but that overflows the counter: 16,777,220 − 16,777,216 = 4G

Why is it called PARAGON STORY? In my Dragon Quest-inspired game, instead of the legendary hero being bestowed the title of Roto or Erdrick, He is called the Paragon. If you played EXCALIBURIAN!!, the Paragon is very similar to Alexander, whose lore was inspired by Mirsa from Romancing SaGa.

Happy Valentine's Day! I might not have mentioned this before, but my project features marriage. The protagonist chooses between his childhood friend, Alma, and the Princess of Granstiel, Marn (short for Marlina). Any resemblance to Dragon Quest V is purely coincidental.
