Sweden actually did this in 2020, and people still think we handled the pandemic well. Tells you everything about how ableist society is and how the welfare state can continue to be underfunded and get ruined without anyone revolting.

Slavery was and is a real thing that has brutalized hundreds of millions of people over the course of human history, if someone tells me a fucking chatbot is enslaved I'm immediately throwing hands. It's not cute, it's not intriguing, it's an insult to real people who suffered and suffer now.

New radiocarbon dating efforts are rewriting a long-accepted timeline for many sites along the Qhapaq Ñan, an ancient road system, pictured here, that was built through the Andes by the Incan empire. The revised timing reveals hints of local resistance to the empire’s expansion during the 15th century. Some people don't like to think of risk & prevention reminds them of risk, so they avoid prevention as a way to avoid thinking about risks. It is, in the end, a bit of immaturity. Adulthood means ability to assess risks. As for health care staff not washing hands, it's desensitised behavior & hubris

The doctor I've asked long ago to wash their hands was an infection diseases doctor and they told me they never get any infection (superhuman complex). And I had to insist that the purpose of them washing their hands is to keep the patients safe -> the doctor went almost into denial of germ theory.

Over time I made a list of all the disinformation and misinformation that I've heard from health care personnel, just for my awareness that one should always be critical and verify the information one receives in health care, as it is not a given that it is correct. There are times when it isn't.

The problem is that too much power and authority is given to the medical profession, which disincentivizes a critical view of what some doctors claim. This power imbalance that is socially reinforced allows some health care staff to push misinformation and disinformation without getting reprimanded.

I would say be very cautious about saying yes, because it is often very difficult and time-consuming to get inaccurate information out of your medical records. I've made it a personal policy to reject AI summaries with doctors/ medical staff, and so far, they've been surprisingly fine with it.

chat control 2 was the one that wanted to break encryption so the eu could scan *everything* (including signal) on your device (all devices).
Investigation: EU citizens' private messages are run through Palantir’s software
Citizens of the EU get their private messages scanned under the temporary EU law “Chat Control”. Those messages are then analysed with Palantir’s software. The temporary law expired this spring but an extension was agreed on in July. Now companies such as Google, Microsoft, Snap and Meta are actively scanning EU citizens private messages for images and videos, with the aim of finding and combating child sexual abuse.
