Another classic, not sure if I've already posted this one here.

The image is a six panel black and white comic.

Panel 1 - a girl sits at her desk in front of a computer, looking disheartened. She says, "I dont know if I should post this art, who would even want to see it?"

Panel 2- A new person bursts through the door in the background with a loud BAM

Panel 3- The new person pushes the girl out of the way, smushing her face in the process, while slamming their fist down on the keyboard.

Panel 4- The computer shows that the art has been posted

Panel 5- The person makes direct eye contact with the girl while pushing their finger against their own phone screen

Panel 6- A motion blur is added to the last panel, enhancing the impact of the new notifications on the new post. It reads, "(Friend) Liked Post just now" Followed by "(Friend) commented 'I FUCKING LOVE THIS AND I LOVE U'"

Underneath the last panel is a watermark that reads, Shubbabang

I had a very weird review experience with Order of the Sinking Star (to the point where I don't really feel comfy calling this a review so much as just early impressions), and Order of the Sinking Star is inherently a pretty weird, complicated game to review anyway.

If it works, that's pretty cool; I didn't think
would ever see this implemented (I also didn't
expect LLMs to exist).
However, this is not something you can PR
here, or anywhere. You sent me a nearly 50k
line diff, unasked for, completely LLM built, and
you somehow expect me to review it. There is
SO MUCH unrelated garbage here. Never
minding all of the docs and Python, you've
somehow touched basically all of the upstream
HDL, which already had MSU1 support, so idk
what in the world you're doing.
This kind of behavior is not acceptable. You are
infringing on the time and brainpower of people
by pushing "your" content that little/no of your
brainpower went into; completely unrequested.
I hope for the sake of all responsible
maintainers that you do not do such a thing
again.
Again, I think it's cool that you and your LLM
supposedly got this to work. It has no place in
my world.

Quick drawing of something I really enjoy.

Me coming home and greeting Brioche (a cat sleeping on a rolly cart) by saying "Brioche I'm home!"
He sits up and you can see the left side of his soft round head is concave from where it's been squished against a pillow for several hours.

SNES co-op classic Secret of Mana was out 33 years ago (1993)! 🌳 A lush world in 16-beautiful-bits of graphics and music. Glitchy gameplay ages it nowadays, but it's a fun time with friends, and with lots of spells and weapons to try. Review + Art: www.rpgfan.com/game/secret-...

Dark Souls on CRT cannot be stopped. Pay no attention to how long ago the last entry was. #crt #gaming #darksouls

With the Chaos Witch's corpse behind her, the Chosen Undead worms deeper into the ancient bowels of Lordran, treading upon the ornate works of long-forgotten cultures, not once considering their provenance.

The Chaos Witch, though monstrous, was loving matriarch to her siblings, thrust into such a role by cruel fate. Blindly keeping the fire at the edge of the Demon Ruins, her blighted sister will now need a new caretaker.

The Chaos Witch's death finally releases her brother from servitude, allowing the tortured being known colloquially as 'The Ceaseless Discharge' to at long last enter the loving embrace of oblivion.

Having rung both Bells of Awakening, the Chosen Undead ascends from the stinking bowels of Blighttown, seeking to return to the Undead Parish and enter Sen's Fortress as foretold. Passing through the Valley of Drakes, treasure beckons her from her path-- into the dark maw of an ancient undead dragon.

Lorelei and the Laser Eyes is one of the best damn puzzle games I've played, the pitch I'd give is, imagine a Survival Horror game, but everything is puzzles. It's a wonderfully stylish experience, I absolutely can't recommend it highly enough.

Started as a little study and became another one of the 'Secret Society of Unpractical Headpieces in Space' series (that still does not exist) 🪐

Illustration by Eleonor Piteira showing a black woman with an elaborate golden headpiece. Her hair is curly and long, she's wearing a dress, and gold and blue make up on her eyes. She is framed by a circle and behind her there is a space view with a star and small planets.

happy pride! here's one of my favorite scenes from If You'll Have Me, my sapphic graphic novel 🌈💕✨ (1/6)

page 51 of If You'll Have Me, starring Momo and PG. Momo is a short girl with curly brown hair, dark skin, and glasses, and PG is a tall girl with short black hair and tan skin. Momo opens the exit door of a night club, which was propped open by a rock. She turns her head to see PG in the alleyway outside, sitting on a wooden crate with her back to the brick wall. "Um... Hi," Momo says hesitantly. PG glances away with a moody expression.

page 52: "You're Lea's friend, right?" PG asks suddenly. "Uh—a friend of a friend," Momo clarifies, caught off guard. "Right," PG says, with an unreadable look. There's an awkward beat of silence as Momo holds the door open, unsure of how to proceed. "So?" PG says at last. "Who did I sleep with this time?" Momo turns towards her in surprise. "E-excuse me?"

page 53: "Was it an ex? A crush?" PG looks up at her with a cool glare. "If you have a problem with me...you can say it to my face." Momo steps forward in a hurry. "Oh, no. It's—I'm sorry, I just wanted to check on you because—" The panel shows a brief flashback of a blond girl in a red dress, her hand raised to strike. Momo twists her fingers anxiously. "I saw what happened back there, and... She was wearing a ring. I thought it might have..."

it’s come to my attention that my tumblr post has been crossposted to bluesky, so I’m posting it on my account here #AntiAI #GenAI

recently my friend's comics professor told her that it's acceptable to use gen AI for script-writing but not for art, since a machine can't generate meaningful artistic work. meanwhile, my sister's screenwriting professor said that they can use gen AI for concept art and visualization, but that it won't be able to generate a script that's any good. and at my job, it seems like each department says that AI can be useful in every field except the one that they know best.

It's only ever the jobs we're unfamiliar with that we assume can be replaced with automation. The more attuned we are with certain processes, crafts, and occupations, the more we realize that gen AI will never be able to provide a suitable replacement. The case for its existence relies on our ignorance of the work and skill required to do everything we don't.
