My brother in law passed away in hospital last night,he had been there for 6 weeks and it wasn’t unexpected,he was really frail,but surprisingly he was asleep and just stopped breathing,none of the scary ‘dying in agony’ scenarios,a peaceful end though still a shock for his family #EndOfLife

Argh! NHS adult hospital bed occupancy in England was 94.6% in September, then 95.3% in October. For context, it is agreed that 85% is the safe bed occupancy level, in order to optimise patient safety and absorb pressure during the busiest periods 🚨
