I really appreciated this piece by @chasestrangio.bsky.social on how the current scapegoating of trans people is a rehash of the anti-gay marriage discourse we saw after Bush defeated Kerry.

We Keep Falling For The Same Anti-LGBTQ Attacks.

The attacks are not new but our willingness to fall for them is increasing.

i should clarify, when i write people doing bad things, it's because i am bad. they are me. more importantly, when you read about those bad things, they also become you. that's how story works. in fact, you are going to think about murder before this skeet ends. how's that feel, sicko.

real conversation i had when i stayed the night at a friends house that i think about constantly

Two furry women lounging in bed, a wolfgirl and a lynxgirl. The lynx is holding a wine glass and theyre both in their underwear. Wolfgirl says
"I feel like a LOT of Toriel porn is actually a subtle display of some sort of internalized or perhaps even EXTERNALIZED misogny because they refuse to look at her as a character in place of using her as a goat-themed MILF archetype"
"Mmhmm mmhm"
"Like, do you truly love Toriel and her fridge-shaped design and her puns and her apparent character flaws, or do you just want
a video game mommy that's popular with furries, y'know?"
"and that's completely true. A refusal to look at the character as a woman and instead a SYMBOL of a sort of idealized womanhood,
someone who cooks and cleans and fucks you rather than a person with internality"
"EXACTTLYYY"

A memory involving one of my parents finding out about my art involves my dad calling me in and on his computer was this fanart I made of Tawna Bandicoot. As I awkwardly sat down, he pointed at said to me "Did you know there are people who would pay you BIG MONEY for doing this"

Quicky pic of Venom Woman wearing a cloak because robots in cloaks look much cooler. Hehe the cloak gives her head a frog silhouette which is cool cuz her look is inspired by dart frogs #art #megaman #oc #originalcharacter

I hate that a cartel of big companies are allowed to hoard memory in order to destroy the market for consumers and smaller businesses, so the same big companies can then sell cloud solutions instead. I can't say what should happen to them, because that would get me banned. Wish we had any recourse.

it goes the other way around too u gotta be okay being a little annoyed with your friends. like not in a letting them be unhealthy with you way, but in a People are flawed and can’t be 100% perfect way. otherwise you will have no human friends & will look to things like chatbots for catered solace

one of the worst and most terrifying pieces of information that ive learned is that in order to make friends you kind of have to be annoying to people. and if they like it thenn you can be friends. friendship is just when you both like when the other one is annoying

VPN bans are a direct response to age-verification. Legislators are frustrated that people are getting around their surveillance, but rather than rethink their strategy, they're doubling down and banning VPNs. Fight the Flock-ing of the internet.
