I am going to regret posting this I'm sure, but this is a normative position amongst many people I know, that in the end, loyalty to your current home gets you nowhere, they will come for us in the end, and if you don't also support the one place that will always take you in, you are screwed.

I rarely read WaPo now, they sign you up for various newsletters immediately. As a person who has access to a NYT subscription and gifts articles all the time, I am mostly annoyed that ppl haven't figured it out yet and constantly answer, "lol thanks but I can't read it, it's behind a paywall." 🤦‍♀️

See, the problem is, Joyce Carol Oates did a post which people shared on Bluesky approvingly, so then she *had* to do a post which people would share in horror, or otherwise the force would be unbalanced. You can prevent this by just not screenshotting *anything* from Twitter.
