Firth of Fifth - probably my fave prog track by any band.

Copaganda 😁 I watch a lot of these things and it's the worst. Predictable stories, dire acting - not enough murders.

Early Sunday tunes. Just found out that there's a Bill Evan's biopic on the go

That was a heartbreaking read. 10/15 years ago there was hope and now it's fucked. So much damage done and for what?

It's one of those songs that nails down a point in life for me and I can see it all so clearly - down to the clothes I was wearing. I used to dislike hearing it but quite fond of it now.

Stealing another 5 minutes of snuggles with my wee spud - I'm too tired to go to work 😭

Another bandcamp purchase and absolutely no summer light required. Sometimes I can feel suffocated by this kind of thing but this felt comfortable ... maybe. There's space in it. Loud and lovely.

I recommend cuddling a cat. Do you know any cats? Seriously, it's horrible to feel like that - find your cave for a bit if you need to.

Managed to mess up again - bad referencing (@graemethomson.bsky.social) I'm cancelling the rest of today.

I have every faith that it will be - but even less chance of sun in November.

Thank god - I thought I'd lost my marbles but I was extremely tired this morning... and I have form for being an eejit. Thanks for sorting out.

I had hope for 'a generous allocation of held over summer light ...' (@graemethomsonbskysocial) but nae chance. First listen to the released tracks on the train home & that worked just fine - beautiful stuff. Very excited to hear the rest of the album next month.

Whits this? I'm not making any more purchases until I've had a sleep - bandcamp friday always brings out the most stupid version of me and I don't need to add lack of sleep to the mix. I'll be back ...

Belated 'Happy Birthday' Nigel. That's been an exciting 5 years ... and 1 day, for you all. Hope the next 5 years are as productive.

Summer Visitor is a lovely, curious (in both senses), fully living thing. I wrapped my lugs around it today as a generous allocation of held-over summer light ghosted in through the upstairs windows – and it marked the moment beautifully. Looking forward to many revisitations.

I'm excited to hear it - hope I get a wee bit of sun too.

The UK Aids Memorial Quilt at the Tramway - incredibly beautiful, moving and very very necessary. So much love in each panel.

16 year old me loved this album - some of it feels quite meh now but listening to the first 4 tracks was kind of nice - memories. In 1977 I was more into prog & disco ... but, like now, I'd try any music. My name is all over my copy - we did a lot of swapping music with pals back then.

Maggie @maggilb.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

Just listened to it for the first time in decades. I loved every track back in the day but one or two haven't stood the test of time for me - I still remember ever word of the lyrics though. Nice memories.

Naw, John Healey, Polmaise Colliery in Fallin was first to go on strike in 1984 - 2 weeks before Cortonwood. When you cannae get basic facts right then I always wonder what other nonsense you're spouting. Credit to him though, good storytelling. share.google/sVqBOFIXeCc2...

Far too much pussyfooting around dealing with the fash while the polis are still lifting pensioners in possession of cardboard signs. Wtaf!

Important visit to Bobbin Mill Woods in Pitlochry yesterday to see Roseanna McPhee. This site is hugely significant to the history and culture of gypsy travellers and should be recognised as such rather than being handed around as a development site for a brewery and holiday cabins.

Thanks - will let you know. I found an old walkman in a box of junk the other day and it seems to be working so hoping to move music onto it when I get a minute and free myself a bit from my phone. STY is on it but not Almost Here - don't know what that was about.

Happy Birthday RIL I will give it a spin when I get home. Might have cake 🎂 It's a mighty fine record - you should be proud! Re d/l code. My first thought was - well I never got a code last year! But just checked and I did - just didn't use it. Will rectify.

Here's today's column on the astonishing, ongoing mistreatment of people with #ME/CFS. Please spread it far and wide: the only thing which can break the media's wall of indifference is seeing an article about the issue go viral. Thank you. 1/2 www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

Abandoned, dismissed and gaslighted: there is no excuse for the way ME sufferers have been betrayed | George Monbiot

Changes in guidance and science seem to have little impact on millions of devastated lives. It’s a social crisis playing out behind closed doors, says Guardian columnist George Monbiot
