I just got my results back from my Swedish language placement exam, and turns out I'm doing better than I thought! Sweden offers free language courses for immigrants with 4 levels, and I've placed in the final level. Now I should be able to study and "graduate" in no time 🙏

Soup season also means crochet season. Do I have 3 other unfinished crochet projects collecting dust? Maybe. But what if I just make my first shawl instead of finishing any of those?

It's time to get emotionally destroyed again. At least the book is pretty!

Ended up going with a rosemary garlic instead of cinnamon sugar focaccia, but the result was delicious af regardless

Made it out of the house today for a little fresh air and self care. Even on a rainy day Stockholm can be beautiful 💕

Burnout hard truth: you have no appetite, get tired of eating even simple things halfway through, and are left feeling guilty and like a failure for not being able to even feed yourself properly. And then you cry for 10 minutes over a half eaten banana.

Sometimes you just gotta walk around the city for a couple hours and have a beer by the water

We had a macha tea time at a local Asian inspired restaurant today and it was so good! The milky oolong was my favorite and the Lucky Cat cake tasted just like eating sugar cookie dough (10/10) Turns out there's lots of cool stuff to do if you leave the house every now and then

We did Christmas today 😍🎄🎁 The first thing Robin did was label the cat, and I immediately forced them both to let me take pictures of them 😅

Company Christmas party was a success! We stayed so late security had to come in and kick us out (see last photo)

Sinterklaas visited Stockholm early! Also, can we take a sec to appreciate how freakin cute this wrapping paper is 😍

I just got my bill for 4 nights / 5 days in the hospital including my ER visit and gallbladder surgery. It works out to $35.74. I have never been happier about the Swedish Healthcare system than I am in this moment, thinking about the tens of thousands of dollars this would be back in Texas.
