Felt like Atmospheric Jungle / Atmospheric dnb / whatever it's called had a "resurgence" from 2019-2021 ish (could just be when I started experiencing or hearing of it) and the feeling of burnout may have returned a bit, but finding older releases in the genre has helped a lot.

I use Obsidian with a third-party plugin that syncs via a self-hosted service. Initial setup is a bit cumbersome, but it's been smooth sailing since then.

Riding the train back and forth allows for some good views of spraypaint tags across the cityscape. One of the most interesting things is that they are all spaced very neatly, each tag has it's own personal bubble so that it doesn't get sprayed over. Even within tags there is respect for the art.

Recognizing many of the names on the PM/+ All-time list made me realize how many HDR players were also pm players at some point. Was it treated as a past time, or a waiting room rather than an entirely different entity? Once Rivals 2 came out, a lot of the scene moved in that direction.
