imgur.com/gallery/w1j0... I'm about a third of the way done with washing the brass and my hands ache. I tracked down a piece of equipment that'll make this cleaning step a lot easier, but it's a budget-punch. Details are in the post, as well as Kofi, if anyone feels like helping out with the cost!

It's unjammed! Progress!! Aaaagh!! It's not perfectly fixed, but it's *way* past being seized. This took so many days, literal DAYS, of troubleshooting! Woohoo! If you're able, please consider supporting the project! Your donations make this possible! <3 ko-fi.com/elbowdeepina...

Since I'm already a little out of sorts as to what should come off next, I end up having to spend time just looking over where the screws are and figuring out what'll hook into what panel if I take it off. Eventually I decide to take off the printer box because... well, it's meant to be detachable.

Guess what time it is? NEW RESTORATION MEGAPOST TIME! :D Unfortunately because Kofi behaves like the morality police, I'm not allowed to link my page on Bluesky. If you'd like to support the restoration, you can search "ElbowDeepInAHorse" on Kofi! Every little bit helps! imgur.com/gallery/wC0U...

This type of fence panel has overlapping thin planks, and the top edges of the planks are on this side. It's like climbing a ladder for a cat. I have seen a cat do this climb on a 8' brick wall. The laws of physics are only suggestions to a cat.

It's finished!! Completely rebuilt, restored to functionality, and looking better than it did since it was first built in 1912! Took two months of work, but it's finally done. I'm so hecking happy! imgur.com/gallery/hIwZ...

There's not an easy way to describe the anxiety of knowing you're putting in work with little to no guarantee of a payoff. I just spent several hours cleaning, straightening, and regreasing all 22 of these cash register levers. I have no idea if this machine will go back together.
