Can’t eat a sandwich until you subscribe to sandwiches. Can’t eat today’s sandwich until it has applied daily sandwich updates. Sandwich now has adverts even though you paid for ad-free sandwich. Can pay again to have less sandwich adverts. Now you can eat the sandwich, but it’s smaller.

Book #34 of the year: "Circe" by Madeline Miller. Fantastic, a great read if you like books that take place during the times of the ancient gods. I've read 2 books taking place during ancient Greek history, and not sure where I'm going next, but what a ride.

Book #33 of the year: "Clytemnestra" by Costanza Casati. I LOVED this book! I wasn't sure if it was going to be like reading a Humanities textbook, but it's not. I like knowing what she's thinking instead of having to guess. A badass, strong female character that got a bad rap in old myths #booksky

My hubs had to put gas in the car this morning, and not to create a panic, but many of the pumps were empty. This was a major chain store, not a one pump country station. Not sure if anyone remembers the long gas lines in the 70s, but the fat garbage can is fucking us, yet again.

Just watched #thelongwalk and I feel so lucky to have lived at the same time in history as @stephenking.bsky.social. The movie was done so well - it was tense, riveting and poignant at the same time. I went through so many emotions. Winning was such a double edged sword.

I forced myself to go to a Tai Chi class, and it didn't suck! I wasn't sure exactly what to expect because I've got posterior tibial tendonitis (PTT) and been trying to rehab it. Also, I'm not a big fan of groups of ppl, but this was really great because u don't have to actually talk to anyone.

When ppl talk about a "mid-life crisis" what they may not know (esp if they're younger) is that it won't be JUST ONE. You'll have several points when you'll question everything, try to change everything, and kinda lose your mind. It's one big sliding scale of crises.

I just went through one helluva Dr visit. I had to tell the guy my name 4 times. He kept reading someone else's chart & confused the fuck outta me. I have never seen a Dr that had probably been getting high on his own supply. He didn't know how to use his computer! I'm not a new patient/

I swear to the non-existent god talking to older family members makes me want to change my phone number, my identity and pretend I was an orphan. After a certain age, my oldest siblings and their grown ass no-good kids (40+ year old adults) drive me insane.

Just finished "The Killer and Frank Lloyd Wright" by Casey Sherman. I don't read a lot of non-fiction. I was interested in most of the details, but it jumped around a lot and left big gaps filled in with quotes from other articles, books, etc like it was just trying to fill a word count. #booksky 📚
