Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

This “it’s impractical to avoid AI” stance is frustrating to me because no it isn’t? At least for authors who have direct control over their work. Not a single GenAI tool touched my books at any part of the creation process. I know this for a fact because I know my software and what my editor uses.

Unpopular opinion:

Using AI for book covers, illustration and promotion isn't stealing. It doesn’t copy one artist—it mixes patterns to make something new. Indie authors who must utilize it for financial ressons aren't theives, they’re resourceful. Original visions still = original.

Fun fact: The creativity? 100% theirs. The ethics? Totally fine if it’s not a direct copy.

Let's not bash Indie authors.
J.K Rowling was on welfare and depressed when she wrote HP. Let's be more compassionate.

I guarantee that if I just completely lost my soul & started cranking out AI books, my career would be over. if you put in the work to make something good and born from your own mind, the people who become your readers/fans WANT THAT. They don’t want generic robot slop. Using AI is authorial death.

always baffles me when I see “but writers/creatives/etc. HAVE to use AI to remain competitive!” besides AI writing being worse, there’s no evidence it gives any real advantage over not using it. you’d still have to fix all its screw ups, which takes time you could use to do it right the first time.
