I tend to like a challenge, so I'll do that often in my own time. If I'm planning on streaming my playthrough, though, I'll pick the base difficulty. That lets me revisit the game later with a different mindset if I'd like to. Clout isn't a very good reason to me, but there ARE reasons for it, lol
