As with all games, I would recommend not looking too hard at filenames and dev names. Ideas change or are abandoned over the course of multiple year projects. Only player-facing names are “correct” because to scramble the game’s insides by updating all references could be a disaster for a launch.

I am once again begging you not to use air raid sirens, alarm klaxons, or other repetitive “alarm” sounds in your game for more than a very short time. Especially if it’s a wide linear or open world game.

Carry them around to help them see the world, but also have the world's coolest cigarette lighter. Do not aim at face.

"Be strong enough to be gentle" Rust in peace Peter Cullen.

A colourful chill isometric drawing. hand drawn and coloured. Optimus is chilling, sitting behind a barn in a farmland. looking at the birds that just landed on his arm. It’s a nice summer sunset.

His Real Secrets of Close Up Magic VHS really stoked my drive to learn and I got lucky enough to have him do a dinner show for my family for my 16th birthday, years ago. Afterwards he took me aside and talked magic with me for another hour. It’s one of my most treasured memories.

Tyranny is one of my favorite RPGS. From the initial "background" questions for who you are, to the characters, to the effect that the Kyros Edicts and your choices have on the story and world, to the magic system...Just very cool game taking the familiar and tilting it to make it more interesting.

It was worth traveling to Wales from California to stay the night there, imo. Just a very cool place to BE even if it’s not very large.

Could we bet on insider trading somehow?

It is my considered opinion that a society where people want to be able to bet on everything is one where the only viable path out of continual hell is to get really really lucky once.

The one thing I like about it is that it can slow down the travel through a space and give you time to really see the environment. It can potentially reveal things from the top of the screen interestingly. Generally boring though.

On the plus side it does suggest that for a time we had a more correct ratio of funding for space exploration.

F for Fake along with The Lifespan of a Fact really made me confront (and continue confronting) my feelings about the responsibility of creators to audiences when the expectations come from the form of the creation (documentary, essay) itself. I still think about it roughly once a week.

Every time you read a story like this (which is way too often), keep in mind that there is a real plaintiff and a real defendant seeking some kind of legal relief that was worth spending thousands of dollars to pursue that is being delayed or dismissed because their lawyer was a dipshit.

Most of the time I drift around in a kind of temporal figure state living somewhere between 1994 and 2026, but seeing a man in full business suit wearing a backpack and riding to work on his electric scooter shocks me back to now.

Slight spoiler but Bang(2025) does make the hitman have a literal change of heart before he decides to retire from his life of killing. It did do one thing I didn’t expect, so worth seeing…or reading a plot summary.
