My wife grew up on classic country like 50-60s stuff her dad loves. She still likes to listen to some of the older stuff on occasion but yeah, once the auto tune in the very copy paste songs started up in the 80s and 90s I was out.

The easiest way to supress rural red voters is shame. Billboards with the current price of diesel and trump pointing to it “i did that” style works. Being remined they were fools is very effective too. Basically the same tactics that they use against black Democratic voters.

Reading is such a struggle now for kids. I’ve seen a lot of research that’s saying it’s mostly because we abandoned phonics and that’s definitely true for my eldest daughter. She just struggles to read in a way that I don’t understand. She’s still a couple years behind. Can’t teach a 14yo phonics.
