I tested out agentic coding yesterday and let qwen3 run overnight to analyze a project and implement a bunch of improvements, just to see what it would come up with. the quality is astonishingly bad and this is probably my favorite line of code: # Check if GUI is enabled ENABLE_GUI = GUI_ENABLED

solitaire is done and i've decided the deck of cards could be part of a cardkit, but that's a little more down the road. for now the cards are done and solitaire is playable as a standalone game.
A terminal-based Klondike Solitaire game titled "Solitaire". At the top left is the stock pile showing [24] cards remaining next to an empty waste slot, and to the right are four empty foundation piles. Below are seven tableau columns numbered [1] to [7], staggered in the classic Klondike layout: column 1 has one face-up card (3♦), and each subsequent column has one more card than the last, with the earlier cards face-down (shown as "?") and only the bottom card of each column face-up. The face-up cards are 3♦, 2♣, 4♠, 4♦, K♣, J♥, and 8♦. Red suits (hearts, diamonds) are highlighted in red; black suits (clubs, spades) on dark backgrounds.

so i decided to code a deck of cards. the goal is to make a solitaire game in the shell. now i've had an issue for two hours were cards were virtually slipping out of my hands while shuffling so now i'm bad at real and virtual shuffling. yay :/

The fact that they can quickly install data centers nationally means they could've been updating infrastructure which they claimed was to difficult and expensive.

there's no greater shame as a developer than having claude listed as a "contributor" on your github repo page, all credibility lost instantly

Idea: Add smart mode to modern Linux kernels so when you run `rm -rf /*` on a prod box as root, the kernel will stall for exactly 1.2 milliseconds to scan your webcam. If it detects a look of sheer panic,it stops executing that command.

People power works. Communities across the country have already stopped more than $130 billion in AI data center projects. Texans can do the same.
Graphic showing a photograph of rows of illuminated server racks inside a large data center. Beneath the image, bold black text on a white background reads: “Ordinary Americans have stopped over $130 billion in data center projects so far in 2026.” A small heading above the statement says, “Theory of everything.”

I just saw an ad... It was something about preserving wildlife and the nature. Generally, yes, I fully agree. BUT THE WHOLE AD WAS AI-GENERATED!?!? AAHH humans...

While having used linux for a couple of weeks now, I still had windows installed in dual-boot just in case something breaks or I don't like it, etc. Today I deleted windows. Freedom, at last.

"Your data, Your choice" best joke i've read today
"Your data. Your choice." A pop-up banner by a popular online news magazine giving the option to either "Accept personalized adverts and cookies" or "Pay 7.99 to reject cookies". What the fuck.

We're facing our third major heatwave since late May and the EU is considering weakening climate regulations so we can help data centers add to the climate disaster. Fuck this bullshit, just so a handful of TechBros can get rich. www.ft.com/content/2135...

My favorite argument showing that LLMs aren’t like brains is that babies start talking at 1-2 years old and they didn’t need to steal all published books ever written to do it At least I hope they didn’t, some babies definitely look suspicious

not "nice try" in an error message
an error pop up that reads "unable to complete the process: nice try, but a person cannot be a duplicate of themself. The duplicate that selected in the list box should have a different person id"
