Taiwanese drugstore sunscreen lineup. Most of the Japanese products shown here had stickers on top of the original Japanese product labels, so I assume they’re the exact same thing. Not sure whether that’s specific to this store or not

“Counterfeit items bearing local brands seized by the Korea Customs Service last year / Courtesy of Korea Customs Service.” The examples shown include a fake Sulwhasoo set, a fake Beauty of Joseon product (possibly Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun Aqua-Fresh Rice + B5), and a fake 3CE blush.

I just noticed that official Thai and Japanese online listings for the Cathy Doll lip serums (available in Japan starting this month) give different SPF/UVAPF test results. Does this mean they have different formulations? Or are these results from different tests?

The image on the top right of the four posted by Odile, cropped to show the text in Korean. Skip to next image for translation. The overall AI-generated image is a very young girl with braids with a wide smile, with two phrases in Korean pointing to sections of her cheek. I’m not very good at guessing ages, but I’d say she’s maybe a tween, or would be if she actually existed.

According to Google Translate, which isn’t necessarily accurate of course but should give us an idea of what’s probably written, they say: “Improvement of blemishes” and “Pigmentation improvement.”

大手化粧品メーカーの偽の化粧下地をインターネット上で販売したとして、男が逮捕されました。偽化粧品を中国から発送していたとみられています。

医薬品医療機器法違反と商標法違反の疑いで逮捕されたのは、職業不詳の柳沢駿容疑者（３１）です。

捜査関係者によりますと、柳沢容疑者は、去年５月から６月にかけ、インターネット上の通販サイトで、資生堂が展開するブランド化粧品「クレ・ド・ポーボーテ」の偽の化粧下地を客２人に販売した疑いがもたれています。

これらは、7700円の正規品より１割ほど安く販売されていて、偽商品は中国から、日本の客に直接発送されていたとみられ、警察は実態解明を進めています。
